Our comprehensive homeowners’ policy is designed for those whose residences have a replacement cost in excess of $1 million:

• You may require more — or less — coverage than your friends and neighbors. We’ll work with you to provide limits that meet your precise needs.
  
• Some of the most beautiful homes are also the hardest to insure. Whether you reside on the coast, in the mountains, in a gated community or all of the above, AIG Private Client Group has the ability to handle complex insurance needs.
  
• Coverage is provided for landscaping, breakage of fragile items, and damage caused by domestic pets.

In the unfortunate event of property damage, additional policy provisions are intended to facilitate the handling of your claim:

• In many instances, we can rebuild on-site to match your home's exceptional building quality, even if doing so exceeds your policy limit.
  
• If you prefer, claims can be settled in cash without any obligation to replace lost items or repair damaged property.
  
• Damaged personal property can be repaired or replaced with new item(s), without deductions for depreciation.
  
• Additional living expenses will be made available if your home becomes uninhabitable after a loss.  

You also may add any of our optional coverage enhancements to your policy, including:

• Equipment breakdown — Homes today are being built with more mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment than ever before. This optional add-on covers the costs to repair or replace critical home equipment due to breakdown.
  
• AIG Fraud SafeGuard^® - Personal financial loss can come in many forms: identity theft, investment schemes, dishonest advisors, forgery, etc. Coverage is available to help protect you and your family.
  
• AIG Household SafeGuard^® — This coverage applies to physical and mental recovery following a traumatic covered event, such as kidnapping, abduction, home invasion, mugging, and car-jacking or hijacking.
  
• Flood coverage — This valuable protection is excluded from standard homeowners’ policies. Many of our coverage features are broader than what can be obtained through the National Flood Insurance Program.

Some people prefer to assume more risk than others. Electing to pay a higher deductible may substantially reduce your annual premium. Choose from a range of deductible options, up to $100,000. Please note: this premise also applies to separate hurricane or wind and hail deductibles in storm-prone areas like Florida.

Wildfire Protection Unit^®
We are the only insurance provider to offer this unparalleled and complimentary service. Wildfire mitigation specialists can visit your home and assess its vulnerability. If needed, we’ll spray the brush around your property with the same powerful yet safe fire retardant used by the U.S. Forest Service. In addition, emergency response units are dispatched automatically if an active wildfire threatens your home. (Available in select parts of CA and CO)

Hurricane Protection Unit^®  
Our Hurricane Protection Unit works to minimize wind and water damage immediately following a major storm, and to help preserve furnishings, artwork and other possessions. If a hurricane is approaching, we track its progress and projected landfall. After landfall, we visit homes in affected areas. If there is visible structural damage, we won’t wait until you file a claim. Rather, we can act immediately and make short-term repairs such as tarping holes in the roof, and boarding breached doors and windows. (Available in select parts of FL, MA, NJ and NY)

Background Checks
Full-time domestic staff can help keep family and valuables out of harm’s way. However, it’s imperative to confirm that those with access to your family and property are both qualified and credible. Use this complimentary resource to screen nannies, housekeepers, drivers, gardeners, chefs, home health workers, private financial advisors and contractors who will have extended access to your residence. Checks are conducted by Kroll Background Screening Services, an industry leader for over 30 years.

Confidential personal security services can help minimize threats to your family, home and belongings. Security services for special events, electronic identity protection, and alarm system planning and design are just a few of our offerings.

Residential Engineering Services
Large estates often are built with complex electrical, heating and plumbing systems that are comparable to commercial properties. Our engineering expert can conduct an in-depth examination to detect frequent causes of property damage before they have a chance to escalate. An infrared camera also may be used to reveal temperature variations behind walls or ceilings that are undetectable to the naked eye. These irregularities can indicate overheating electrical systems or moisture due to a leak or mold.

Architectural Legacy Services 
AIG Private Client Group policyholders have exclusive access to our Architectural Legacy Services, a team of risk management specialists with expertise in historic preservation and architectural history. We can advise on loss prevention, documentation, or rebuilding and renovation projects specific to your unique historic home.
