Chief of Staff to AIG Chairman & CEO

Ms. Tarpey is Chief of Staff to AIG’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. In this role, she drives and coordinates strategic business priorities and provides management direction to core enterprise initiatives focused on value creation for all of AIG’s internal and external stakeholders.

Previously, Ms. Tarpey was Head of Corporate Administration and Strategic Divestitures at AIG and led the divestitures of non-core businesses in addition to other transformation programs. She joined AIG in June 2021 as the Head of the Separation Management Office where she oversaw the separation of Corebridge Financial and served as Corebridge’s Chief Operating Officer.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Tarpey has held various senior leadership roles in corporate development, operations, innovation and risk management at Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company, AXA, JPMorgan Chase and E*TRADE Financial.

Ms. Tarpey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
