Sabra Purtill
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Sabra Purtill is Executive Vice President and AIG’s Chief Financial Officer.
She joined AIG in 2019 as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer and then served as AIG’s Chief Risk Officer from 2021-2022. From April 2022 Ms. Purtill served as Chief Investment Officer of Corebridge Financial before returning to AIG in January 2023.
Prior to AIG, Ms. Purtill was with The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., where she served as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations & Treasurer. Previously, Ms. Purtill was Managing Director, Investor Relations & Communications, at Assured Guaranty Ltd. from 2004 to 2011, and prior to that, was a Corporate Finance Officer at ACE Limited, now known as Chubb Limited, where she led the initial public offering of Assured Guaranty Ltd. She began her career in corporate finance at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., progressing to insurance ratings at Standard & Poor’s, investment banking at Merrill Lynch, and sell-side equity research covering the insurance industry at ABN AMRO Incorporated, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Advest Group, Inc. and Conning & Co.
Ms. Purtill holds an M.A. from Georgetown University and a B.A. with High Honors from The University of Virginia. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and has held a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation since 1995. In addition, she is Chairperson of the Advisory Board to The Center for Politics at The University of Virginia, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of The College Foundation of the University of Virginia.
